Console tree

A console tree is any window that displays data in a tree structure. It allows users to expand the folders, groups, or other listings by clicking the + symbol next to it. In the image, the Microsoft Windows Computer Management console tree is the left portion of the window. It allows users to see multiple categories at once. The Local Users and Groups section is expanded allowing you to see the users and groups folders.
