Craigslist
Craigslist is a website that allows users to place classified ads and communicate with each other on message boards. It was started in 1995 by founder Craig Newmark as a San Francisco-based e-mail list, and was converted into a website in 1996. Its global presence began rapid growth in 2000, and today it serves over 70 countries. Millions of users visit Craigslist to sell items online, meet new people, and find jobs, housing, and other services.
Craigslist sites are localized to a particular region of the world, each with a craigslist subdomain. For instance, New York City's listings are located at https://newyork.craigslist.org, and the Craigslist for Tehran, Iran is located at https://tehran.craigslist.org.
The global home page of Craigslist, which lets you select a local listing from a map of the world, is located at https://www.craigslist.org.
Computer Hope on Craigslist
We have received several calls from users who found jobs posted on the Craigslist website for Computer Hope data entry jobs. Computer Hope has never posted any job requests on Craigslist and, based on what we've heard, the job offering is a scam to get your bank account information. Do not interact with these people and report the posting to Craigslist and Computer Hope so it can be removed.
