Ctrl+Shift+~ in Microsoft Excel

Pressing Ctrl+Shift+~ switches the number format to the general format. The general format is a number without commas, currency, percentage, symbols, etc.

For example, if the selected cell had a currency value of "$100.00" and you used this shortcut it would become "100" with no additional number formatting.

Note

If there's no number formatting on the number in the cell, pressing this keyboard shortcut appears to do nothing.
