DaVinci Resolve

Developed by Blackmagic Design, DaVinci Resolve is professional video editing software or NLE (non-linear editing) best known for its color grading and correction tools. Features like curves, color balance, saturation, contrast, and tints can be highly customized. Changes can be motion tracked to objects, keyframed, and saved as LUTs (lookup tables) for use in other clips. DaVinci Resolve includes a timeline for compositing and arranging video and audio clips, a visual effects library, and a motion graphics panel for adding text and overlays.

Created by da Vinci Systems in 2004 and developed by Blackmagic Design since its acquisition in 2009, DaVinci Resolve is available to anyone free of charge. DaVinci Resolve has two versions available. A basic version can be downloaded for free on Windows and macOS computers. DaVinci Resolve Studio (professional version) can be purchased for a one-time price and includes premium effects, 3-D features, audio tools, and a neural engine to detect objects and faces.
