To dispose of something, means to throw it out or give it away. For example, throwing away or recycling old computer parts would be disposing of them.
Should I recycle?
When you no long have use for old electronic equipment, we recommend it be disposed of by taking it to a recycling center. Recycling is important because certain computer components contain materials and chemicals that are hazardous to the environment when not disposed of properly. For this reason, throwing out electronics is illegal in most states. Furthermore, proper disposal of memory at a recycling center ensures you're not susceptible to information theft.
