Dual monitor
Updated: 04/02/2019 by Computer Hope
Some computers support a dual monitor setup, where two monitors are connected to the same computer simultaneously. The ability to connect two monitors requires a video card with two ports for video out, such as VGA (video graphics adapter), HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface), DVI (digital visual interface), or DisplayPort, on it.
Having dual monitors allows full window split screen, which is typical in an office setting where users must have multiple windows displayed at the same time. For example, a web designer may need to have Dreamweaver and Photoshop open at the same time.
