File sharing

Alternatively called file swapping, file sharing is the accessing or sharing of files by one or more users. File sharing is performed on computer networks as an easy and quick way to transmit data. For example, a user may share an instruction document on his computer connected to a corporate network allowing all other employees to access and read that document.
