The Story…
With the destruction of D'Sparil and Korax, the forces of Light believed that they would gain respite from the vicious attacks of the Serpent Riders. They were wrong. With the remains of the first two Serpent Rider's armies added to his already powerful forces, the third Serpent Rider, Eidolon, stalked forth into the realm of mankind. No mercy was shown by this ravenous onslaught, and soon, the tribes of humanity fell to the Dark Generals of the Serpent Rider. For years, you have lived in hiding, biding your time, bitterly planning the vengeance that you desire. Death, Pestilence, War, Famine… you will face them all on your quest to destroy Eidolon and all that he covets. Fortunately, you need not face this final battle alone, you have made an uneasy truce with those that were once your enemies. The Necromancer, master of blackest magic, his reasons for destroying Eidolon are clear- he wished the power for himself. The Assassin, Taker of Lives, though she fights by your side, it is always best to watch your back. The Crusader, a man of magic and skill at arms, a healer who will protect you with his life. And finally, the Paladin, with the power of his Ancient gods, he hopes to rid the world of the evil that has befallen it. As you clinch your bootstraps and ready your weapons, you can only hope and wonder what lies in the depths of the recently besieged castle that stands before you. All of humanity rests on the edge of your blade.

Classes
- ASSASSIN: Money. The root of all evil and a source of endless power. You spent your life on the street, stealing enough to get by, killing when the need arose. You were unhappy with your lot in life and you decided that it was time for a change. You had heard of a group of powerful people that were skilled in the art of silent slaying. It was whispered that these people were paid handsomely for crimes that could not be traced. It sounded like the perfect job. Having lived on the street for your entire life, it was easy to find them and work your way into their organization. But now you've set your sights on the big money, Eidolon. With all of the cities and villages that he has plundered, think of the riches that must lie in his treasure trove. Guarded by his evil minions and devilish traps, only those most skilled in the art of assassination and thieving would even begin to have a chance… And with the skills that you have, that money should be yours in no time.
- CRUSADER: Light. You were raised to follow the path of light, and to help any who were in need. When Eidolon forced his way into your dimension, your order was persecuted severely. Many came to you for help, and for the first time in your life, you were unable to help them since you were too busy to even lend aid to your brethren. A cancer had spread across the world, and a cure had to be found. With enough study and diligence, you have become the cure. And now, the tides have turned. Finally, you feel strong enough to destroy the darkness that has spread across your land. In time, maybe all of the wounds of this war will be healed. Only the gods know for sure.
The Crusader uses the power of light to heal and cure those that cannot help themselves. To protect himself, he also uses his skill at arms to destroy any threat that opposes him in his quest to rid the world of the evil of Eidolon. At his highest level of experience, the Crusader is bestowed the ability to avoid death at the whim of his God. - NECROMANCER: Darkness. To most, darkness strikes fear into cringing hearts, but to some, it slips around them like a comforting cloak, hiding their intent until it is too late. No other word can explain the twisted magic that you perform and it is under the cover of darkness that you lurk, creating abominations that were never meant to be. At first you were content to follow the wake of battle, raising an army of mindless, undead servants whose only goal was your ultimate desire. In time, your forces grew and you became fascinated by your power. You became reckless in your strength. It was then that Eidolon turned an unflinching eye to your quest for power. Using magic darker than you had ever dreamed, Eidolon stripped you of your army, driving you to kneel before his might. But he had made one fatal mistake. Although he had stripped you of your magic, he had let you live. And there was one thing that you were sure of, if you had learned the power of Darkness before, you could learn it again. And this time, it would be Eidolon who would be kneeling before you.
The Necromancer uses the powers of darkness to further his own gains. Evil in his own right, the Necromancer seeks one thing- revenge. As the Necromancer gains experience, he also gains powers that help him in his quest. At his highest level, the Necromancer will be able to summon the life force of recently slain creatures and make them fight for him, soulless creatures serving a soulless master. - PALADIN: Life. With the onslaught of Eidolon, many of your friends perished and you were forced into hiding. You have always worshipped the powers of life, and now, they are slowly dwindling. You were pushed to the edge of the cliff, and for a while, you were almost pushed over. For untold time, you have readied yourself for the final showdown- a meeting between Eidolon and you. And, with the help of new found allies, you feel that the time for the showdown is now. Your closeness for your gods helps steel your heart, and the steel at your side helps harden your soul. The time for a reckoning is at hand. You pray for the strength to accomplish what you must do, and set out on your journey.
The Paladin is a believer in the goodness of humanity, and in such, believes that Eidolon must be swept from the world. Using the power that is given to him from his gods, the Paladin will gain the ability to heal himself and to absorb damage that is directed against him.
