Founded in 1906 by Mark Honeywell and headquartered in North Carolina, Honeywell is a manufacturer of products in industries like aerospace, defense, industrial, safety, and supply chain. Some of their computer-related products include barcode scanners for retail businesses, minicomputers for industrial and supply chain use, and smart thermostats for home and business. The first minicomputers built by Honeywell include the Honeywell 116 in 1965, the Honeywell 416 and 516 in 1966, and the Honeywell 316 in 1969.
