Founded in 1986, I.R.I.S. develops hardware and software solutions to scan incoming paper or electronic data. The company has developed such products as Readiris, IRISPen, IRIScan Anywhere business card reader, and more.
In June 2013, I.R.I.S. became part of the Canon company, but is still sold under the I.R.I.S. name.
