Line caps

How an ending of a line appears when printed. The picture shows examples of the butt, rounded, and square line caps. As shown in this illustration, the butt line cap draws the line and ends it exactly where first ended. Rounded creates a half round edge on each side of the line. Finally, the square line cap is similar to the butt and adds the square ending to the line.
