Founded in 1995 by Richard Lesser, Nero is a software company specializing in digital media file management. Nero products include video and sound recording software, photo managers, backup software, file converters, and their popular CD burning software, Nero Burning ROM.
Now known as Nero, the company originally went by the name Ahead Software AG until its name change in 2005.
