The power command allows users to conserve power on computer portables.
Availability
Power is an external command executed by the power.exe file. It is available for the following Microsoft operating systems as power.exe.
Power syntax
Reduces the power used by your computer.
POWER [ADV[:MAX | REG | MIN] | STD | OFF]
| ADV[:MAX | REG | MIN] | Reduces the power by monitoring applications and hardware devices. MAX provides the most power conservation, REG provides average power conservation, and MIN provides the least conservation. |
| STD | Reduces the power by monitoring hardware devices. |
| OFF | Turns off power management. |
