Refurbish

Refurbish is restoring a device or piece of hardware to "like new" condition for resale. While buyers should exercise caution with refurbished products, they are a great way to get what is more or less a new device while saving a substantial amount of money.

What makes something refurbished?

A refurbished part or computer may have been sold to someone and returned for any of the following reasons.

1. Computer or part was defective.
2. Computer or part was thought of as defective and was not.
3. Computer or part had a blemish or other flaws that were not acceptable to the original owner.
4. Computer or part had a missing part, so the unit was sent back.
5. The user was unable to afford the computer or part and had to return it.
6. Was the wrong part or computer for user and user opened the box.

A refurbished computer or part is labeled as a refab, refurb, refurbish, or refurbished and is sold at a lower cost than the non-refurbished computer or part.
