Updated: 11/12/2023 by Computer Hope
The Spamhaus Project, also known as Spamhaus, was founded in 1998 by Steve Linford, with a focus on tracking and stopping spammers on the Internet. The focus of Spamhaus is e-mail spammers, but they also deal with other related forms of spamming. The organization provides anti-spam lists to Internet and e-mail service providers, allowing those providers to better protect their customers from spam. As of 2006, Spamhaus' anti-spam lists, DNS blocklists, and other services helped to protect around 650 million e-mail users globally.
