Stack puke
Updated: 04/26/2017 by Computer Hope
A stack puke is the process which some processor architectures save their internal state when an exception is encountered. These processors are said to "puke their guts onto the stack" (the stack being a LIFO (last in, first out) data structure which contains instructions). The Motorola 68020, for example, is a 32-bit processor that "regurgitates" up to 92 bytes of data when a bus fault occurs.
