TheftGuard

TheftGuard is a security protection created by Softex used with some laptops and handled through the computer BIOS (basic input/output system). This protection scheme helps protect laptops that are stolen by not allowing the thief to erase the hard drive and remove any protection that is installed. Also, if the stolen laptop is connected to the Internet, the owner can choose to disable that laptop, remotely save important data, and remotely track the laptops location.
