True BASIC

True BASIC is a version of the programming language BASIC written by the authors of BASIC, John Kemeny and Thomas Kurtz, in 1983. Their purpose was to update the BASIC language in response to criticism it received. True BASIC is a compiled, structured language, does not require line numbers, and includes the advanced control structures necessary for structured programming.
