Viewable area
Updated: 04/26/2017 by Computer Hope
The viewable area of a screen or window is where the content can appear. This area is often less than the full area used by a television, monitor, or window due to borders, menus, and any controls. For example, a computer monitor may be 24x14-inches with a viewable area of 22x12-inches, where the actual screen appears in the physical monitor.
