DASP may refer to any of the following:
1. Short for Drive Active Slave Present, DASP is an ATA (Advanced Technology Attachment) signal carried on pin 39, indicating an active drive. Then, lets the computer know if a secondary drive is present. If you're using an older secondary drive with a new primary drive that doesn't detect, look for an SP jumper, a firmware update, or consider a different channel.
2. Short for Disk Anti-Shock Protection, DASP is a protection system developed by Acer that helps protect a hard drive in a laptop computer from being damaged when it's bumped or dropped.
3. Short for Dynamic Adaptive Speculative Pre-Processor, DASP is a memory prefetch technology developed by NVIDIA that helps reduce memory latency.
