ELF emission

Short for extremely low frequency emissions, an ELF emission is a magnetic emission given off by electrical appliances. Because it is not yet known if these emissions are harmful to humans over long periods of times, some governments created standards for reducing ELF (Extremely Low Frequency) emissions.
