FCIP

Short for Fibre Channel over IP (Internet Protocol), FCIP was developed by IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force) and is fully defined in RFC 3821. FCIP allows fiber storage to communicate over TCP/IP on a LAN (local area network), WAN (wide area network), and MAN (metropolitan area network).
