Hypervisor

Alternatively called a Virtual Machine Manager, Virtual Machine Monitor, or VMM, a hypervisor is computer hardware, firmware, or software that generates and manages virtual machines. Its primary function is to allocate system resources properly to each virtual machine it manages, ensuring they all operate properly and efficiently.
