Jaz drive

A disk storage drive introduced by Iomega in 1995 that was capable of storing between 1 GB and 2 GB on a single disk. The Jaz drive connects internally to the computer using IDE (integrated drive electronics) or SCSI (small computer system interface) and can also connect externally using the parallel port or SCSI. The picture shows an example of an Iomega Jaz drive and cartridge. With competing technologies and cheaper media, the Jaz drive was discontinued in 2002 and replaced by the Iomega Rev drive.
