LAPM

Updated: 11/13/2018 by Computer Hope

Short for link access procedure for modems, LAPM is an error control protocol defined in ITU-T recommendations V.42. Like the MNP (Microcom Network Protocol) protocols, LAPM uses CRC (cyclic redundancy check) and ARQ (automatic repeat request) to ensure data reliability.
