Msiexec

Updated: 04/26/2017 by Computer Hope

Msiexec is Microsoft's Windows installer that often shows up as msiexec.exe in the Windows Task Manager. It is used to install programs that are bundled in the MSI installation format. These files have the extension .MSI or .msi at the end of the file name. When one of these files is double-clicked, msiexec loads automatically and start the installation process.
