Openbox is a lightweight window manager for the X Window System released in 2002. It can be used with Linux, FreeBSD, and other Unix-like operating systems to create a clean, functional desktop environment that consumes very few system resources. It complies with ICCCM (Inter-Client Communication Conventions Manual) and EWMH (Extended Window Manager Hints) standards. Openbox is the default window manager of several Linux distributions, including BunsenLabs, ArchBang, Lubuntu, TinyMe, and Trisquel Mini.
