Photoshop Charcoal
Updated: 07/31/2022 by Computer Hope
Charcoal or Photoshop Charcoal redraws the image using the foreground color for charcoal to block out shapes along edges on the background color (paper). Its parameters are charcoal thickness, detail, and light/dark balance.
Charcoal works on 8-bit, RGB (red, green, and blue), grayscale, and Multichannel images, and Smart Objects. This filter is part of the Filter Gallery, and uses the currently active foreground/background colors.
Charcoal is part of Adobe Photoshop's Extended Filters.
