PvP

Short for Player vs. Player, PvP is gameplay where a real computer player plays against another real computer player instead of a NPC (Non-Player Character). PvP brings more of a challenge to players because of the capabilities and knowledge of the opposing player. Many hardcore players consider any non-PvP server as a carebear server.
