RF shielding

Short for radio frequency shielding, RF shielding is a process that involves placing a thin, conductive or magnetic piece of metal between two circuit boards or around electronic equipment. RF shielding is used to keep specific signals separated from other (usually unwanted) signals that surround them. For example, RF shielding is used to prevent data from being taken from RFIDs, which are used in many of today's devices.
