SPARC

Short for Scalar Processor Architecture, SPARC is a microprocessor architecture developed by Sun Microsystems in 1987 that includes a scalar processor. The SPARC processor is a RISC (reduced instruction set computing) processor commonly found in Sun computers; however, it is available for a wide variety of computers.
