Founded in 1987 by Morris Chang, the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, or TSMC, is a manufacturer and global retailer of semiconductors based in Hsinchu, Taiwan. It is one of the largest and most valuable semiconductor companies in the world.
TSMC fabricates custom silicon and other chips for many notable tech companies, including AMD, Apple, and NVIDIA.
