UMB

Updated: 11/13/2018 by Computer Hope

Short for upper memory block, UMB is areas of upper memory that are remapped into RAM (random-access memory). After this occurs, TSRs (terminate-and-stay-resident programs) and device drivers can be loaded into these blocks to free conventional memory for use by other programs.
