Updated: 11/12/2023 by Computer Hope
Founded in 2005 by Trevor Blackwell, Paul Graham, Jessica Livingston, and Robert Morris, Y Combinator is a company that provides seed money for startup companies. Twice a year, they invest in many startups and invite them to a Y Combinator batch. During this period, they meet with the team to go over all aspects of the startup. They gather information to present the company to larger investors or acquisition companies. Some notable companies that used Y Combinator to start their company are Airbnb, DoorDash, Dropbox, Reddit, and hundreds of other companies.
