Clippy

Clippy is Microsoft's animated, talking paperclip avatar, first included with Microsoft Office 95, that assists users perform various tasks. On April 11, 2001, Microsoft announced that Clippy would be removed from future releases of Microsoft Office. However, after the release of Office XP, it was found that Clippy was still present, but not installed by default. The picture shows what Clippy looked like in Microsoft Office 2000.
How to enable or disable Clippy
- Click Help at the top of the window. If you don't see Help, try pressing the Alt.
- Click Show the Office Assistant or Hide the Office Assistant. If the Office Assistant continues to appear, right-click the Office Assistant and click Options. In the Options window, uncheck Use the Office Assistant and click OK.
