Cycle

A cycle may refer to any of the following:

1. In general, a cycle refers to a single repeating occurrence of a particular event. For example, an event may have a cycle of one month. After the one month is over, the cycle would start all over again.

2. A cycle may also refer to an oscillation or hertz.

3. With power, a cycle is when a computer or other hardware device turns off and then turns back on. For example, when you turn on the computer and then later shut down the computer, that is one cycle.
