Insert hyperlinks into Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Keyboard shortcuts are a great way to carry out a task without having to look through menus. One task that is executed across many programs is placing a link to a website, web page, or file download.

To quickly insert a hyperlink into a Microsoft Word document, Excel spreadsheet, or PowerPoint presentation, highlight a section of text, picture, or other object, and then press Ctrl+K.
